Abortion & Atheism
What is really wrong with abortion? I mean in the later trimesters, I do see it. Then the baby is developing and all the organs and everything are in later stages. But in the first week especially, that is a little parasite type thing inside the body. I hate to sound harsh about it, but it’s life. And frankly, if the woman doesn’t want it there, why should she be forced to keep it. I am all about personal responsibility, but is it really responsible to bring a baby into the world if you’re not willing to take care of it and suck it up? Also, if a woman’s a rape victim, that’s a definite big one. I mean I wouldn’t compare it to throwing away a pair of women’s socks, because obviously a baby is more valuable and different than a pair of socks. But life that might be there or might not is quite different from life that is. So I read a blog the other day that said “What’s wrong with killing babies? I see no problem with it. I have enough mouths to feed. I don’t get the argument and I am an atheist. Since I don’t believe in God, I don’t believe in anything characterized as good, bad/right, wrong. So what’s the big deal?” So little lesson for those of you who didn’t pick up on this. This is crap. Yes, there are some of us who are atheists. But being an atheist, while meaning you don’t believe in God, does not mean that you don’t believe in right or wrong or consider a baby “just another mouth to feed.” Most atheists have a strong sense of right and wrong actually. But not everyone needs a religion to define that for them. Not saying religion is a horrible thing by the way. But honestly, that is an obvious load of crap. This particular writer goes under the names “Grass” “aatheist” and “apl” to name a few.” He writes about Jesus in some and pretending he’s a “stupid” atheist in others to make you hate the idea of atheism, because how can you deny the world of blogging. He even suggest that a man abusing a woman is okay, because like he said he’s an “atheist.” That sounds like when liberals were called “godless.” One even suggests killing a neighbor as if they were a pair of women’s socks would be alright because he’s an atheist. Most existentialists don’t go this far. It would be a mistake to think so. But the whole there is no right and wrong and so on is more of an existentialist idea. Apparently he also claims to be a pastor online, interesting stuff.No comments:
