12 May 09 - 18:50A Cool President
Barack Obama now has pages on Facebook and Myspace. I mean I’m sure that he doesn’t actually manage them or anything. But the White House, not some random weirdo, has actually set up Myspace and Facebook pages for the President of the United States. That is definitely a new one and very cool. And they also took a video of him hanging out with the women’s basketball team of Uconn. He has a pretty good shot, and in the video, you can even see him making 3 shots in a row from about 20 feet where other players who play on a regular basis for a college team keep missing. Not too shabby. I don’t know if that goes toward his presidential credentials. But it works for me right now.

Stories about animals always affect me more than stories about people do sadly enough. But I heard about one dog today, who was riding with his caretaker from
26 April 09 - 17:24An Era Of Disrespect
There are just some things I would think would be common sense going into any field. For example, the doctors who performed all the gruesome experiments on Jews in the holocaust, just sick and I would think against any physician related ethics. And a second one, this is not like an
exposed acne treatment which everyone will either stop buying because it is exposed to be horrible or start buying because it’s “exposed” as the great one it is. I don’t know. It’s bad. They took photographs years ago of med students posed with the cadavers. This is more like when soldiers took photographs of them when they were torturing their victims. Well not that bad maybe, but at the same point, as medical students, these people should have known better than maybe a soldier who is just that, a soldier. They have taken no oaths or any of that. These pictures are now featured in a book called Dissection, and they show dozens of students in the late 19th and early ...

20 April 09 - 09:20No Man Should Have A Poodle
You know those guys you see with these little teeny tiny dogs like poodles, yorkies, small maltese, if they’re bigger maltese it’s different, but it’s always weird! Poodles, it doesn’t really matter what size they are, it’s always weird when you see a guy with a poodle. It’s just worse when they’re the teacup variety. But you have to wonder, are you actually wearing
men’s socks or the pants in the family if you are married or dating someone, or is that all her? I speak specifically about poodles. There is no way to be manly walking or jogging a poodle around or carrying one around. The girls may flock over and say oh what a cute puppy, but really, it’s are you gay or whipped. And yes I do know some guys who have poodles. They fall into one of two groups. 1. it’s their girlfriend’s poodle and they walk it because they’re whipped and she wants them to. Or 2. they’re gay. It’s very simple and very true. I know a few guys with poodles of their own, and they’re all tiny ...

10 April 09 - 17:57The Purpose Of College
Sometimes I wonder why some people even go to college. I mean my brother in law was telling us the other day that he’s going out for his MBA and he wants to go to one of the most prestigious universities in the state. Um….first of all he’s not that smart. His grades sucked in college, and he really worked as a waiter until they got married and he was honestly a loser. I mean he was 26, still a waiter, borrowing money from my 18 year old sister, having to borrow her car because he didn’t have one. It was bad and still is to some degree. And why he wants to get an MBA? To open a restaurant. It basically means he’s putting it off however he can, because nobody needs an MBA to open a restaurant, that is just stupid, and a lot of money to spend. You don’t take
diet pills unless you want to lose weight, if you have a brain that is. Then there’s some people who get a degree in general studies. Isn’t the whole point of college to get a degree so that you can get into a job ...

28 March 09 - 15:44Being Affected And Still Pro Choice
As I age, I wonder how much I’m taking up. How much air I am taking up, how many pills like
SecratatropinHGH, the jobs I am taking, the money I am taking, the money I am spending, all of which somebody else could or maybe should be spending, taking, etc. My parents didn’t think about aborting me, they didn’t go into debt to have me, nothing like that, it was a hit and run kind of thing. My mother went into the hospital, delivered the baby, and then she left, simple as that. At least I was an easy birth right? But honestly, I’ve worked in some third world countries, seen a lot of kids, seen a lot of orphanages, and it makes me wonder. Why am I taking up all the things such as a basic home that should have been given to another kid? My mother wasn’t dead as some of theirs are. She did not have a disease as some of theirs did. My parents were not drug addicts that couldn’t support themselves, much less a child. They were just embarrassed that they thought they made ...

21 March 09 - 17:03Abortion & Atheism
What is really wrong with abortion? I mean in the later trimesters, I do see it. Then the baby is developing and all the organs and everything are in later stages. But in the first week especially, that is a little parasite type thing inside the body. I hate to sound harsh about it, but it’s life. And frankly, if the woman doesn’t want it there, why should she be forced to keep it. I am all about personal responsibility, but is it really responsible to bring a baby into the world if you’re not willing to take care of it and suck it up? Also, if a woman’s a rape victim, that’s a definite big one. I mean I wouldn’t compare it to throwing away a pair of
women’s socks, because obviously a baby is more valuable and different than a pair of socks. But life that might be there or might not is quite different from life that is. So I read a blog the other day that said “What’s wrong with killing babies? ...

11 March 09 - 18:03Too Young To Get Married....Any Time Soon
Getting married, it's what every little girl dreams of, and getting married early, that's what every small town girl and girl out of certain states like the Southern states or Utah dream of. And I don't mean to minimize their marriages or anything like that at all. But as for me, the people I know who have gotten married that early usually end up divorced, partly granted because they dated for like 2 weeks total. That could also have something to do with it. But they were so in love with the idea of each other, they didn't necessarily delve into the facts about each other and what might change in the future. I consider myself too young to consider marriage. But if you find the right person, what do you do right?
But that aside, people really don't think about marriage. They think ooh I'll be in love and it will be great and fabulous. They don't think we'll fight, what if his feet stink, what if her breath smells in the morning, what if he gets fat, ...
